Advanced Particle Controller

Descriere
A tool that lets you spawn and control particle effects.

Features:
  • Particles are used for all sorts of different special effects, from explosions and fire to weather effects, electricity, bullet tracers, smoke, beams and more! You can attach them to models and turn them on and off with a key.

  • Includes every effect from all compatible games you have mounted (Gmod, TF2, HL2: Episode 2, Portal, and CSS). Other addons can also add their own particle lists.

  • To use the tool, left click to add an effect to an object, or right click to attach a new prop with the effect on it. You can also use the scroll wheel to place the effect on an attachment point.

  • In the particle browser, you can right click any effect to add it to your favorites list, making it easy to find again later.

  • Includes two separate tools for Tracer and Projectile effects - tracer effects are particles that fire out like a bullet; and projectile effects launch models that have one particle attached to them, and another particle that plays once they expire or hit something.

  • Also works with effects that have been scripted in Lua - look for the "Scripted Effects" category under "Source Engine / Garry's Mod", or use your own Lua effects by typing !UTILEFFECT! in front of the effect's name.

  • 100% compatible with dupes and saves.

Known Issues:
  • Beam effects tend to break when bone merged. This is because this tool uses a constraint to tie both ends of the effect together, and the bone merger tools treat all constraints like a weld, attaching the objects on both ends of the beam.

@EBS LOG- David Uchoa
only if the effect was deliberately set up with a control point to change that trait, like the colorable effects in this mod already are. if you want to recolor or resize anything , then you'd be better off learning how to use the particle editor.

would a particle browsing system be possible? (EX: being able to load particles from other mods or games like l4d, etc)

Aww man, I liked the particles still being there for a little bit when the prop gets deleted :(

Tried that command and it transpired I had backed the old version up to the local addon folder a few years ago (as last update was about fiveish years earlier and didn't think there'd be another update by that point.) Moved that version elsewhere on my PC, loaded in a map and sure enough, it worked. So yeah, it's all good now, thanks.

@Lionsmane57
What's the problem exactly, are you still getting the "CreateParticleEffect" error? That shouldn't be possible unless you have an old version of the addon installed somehow - try entering this into the console while in a game, and it'll tell you where the outdated file is:
whereis lua/entities/particlecontroller_normal.lua

Still broken for me (I use the x86-64 version)
