Class Warfare is Team Fortress 2 server plugin. It can be played on any map as a stand-alone mod or coupled with many other mods. Unlike most mods presented in this series, Class Warfare isn’t a full blown mod-gamemode. It’s a significantly game-changing mod but doesn’t affect standard rules and objectives.

It originally released September 2011. Today roughly 3 servers run this mod.


So what is Class Warfare?

Class Warfare is mod that can be summarized in one sentence: Every round each team is forced to play as a single class.

For clarification everyone on one team is forced to be one class wile the other team is forced to be another. This makes for interesting gameplay as sometimes classes that counter one another drastically have to fight. Besides the class restrictions everything else is exactly the same as regular Team Fortress 2.

At the start of every round the class restrictions placed on both teams is displayed on screen. This means players always know what they’re up against. If the class restrictions aren’t displayed this indicates that there is a free round where every player can play as whatever class they wish to play. Lastly, admins, server operators and other such people with higher status can be exempt from class restrictions.


And that’s basically Class Warfare in a nutshell. A very straightforward and simple modification to gameplay.

• To find a server use this link.[www.gametracker.com] This is an online server browser that lists every server that USES this plugin. (Some may not have it enabled, 1 uses it to simply have snipers-only 24/7 2fort. So read the server’s names and use logic and trial-and-error to find a server.)
