Doc's Improved Cloaking script!

Description
What is that in the shadows?

Is it a Ghost?

Is it a Monster?

Is it a French Madman with a Extreamly Pointy Knife?!

No It is YOUR COMPLETELY INVISIBLE ANIMATION!*

With this script You can activate and color the cloaking process of ANY MODEL!!!**

and if the Cloaking part doesn't work you can set the script to use the ALPHA channel to cloak items.

Want all the materials to cloak at once? chose the "One bar" options to optimise your selection down to nothing.

WARNING: Do not keep multiple cloak proxies on the same model when you save. Doing so may cause memory corruptions. if you wish to replace or change the cloaking color/effect you must first remove previous cloak proxy. To do this use the "Remove overide materials" command that is found by rightclicking the object in the animation set editor or delete the "Materials" folder from of Animation set editor>Model

*how can they tell if it is animated if it is invisible Because you told them that is how!

**as long as the texture of the model supports any of the Invis proxies.

i just finished to watch a lot of tutorials on youtube to understand how the cloak works on sfm, and after spending 30 minutes on it i just found your rig, simple and easy to use. Thanks!

This always works for me at first, then models with the cloak rig applied start breaking after some time. I don't know when or why, but for example a model which I've animated to uncloak will just stay cloaked in that shot, even though the keyframes are untouched. This has happened on two separate projects by now.

HOW TO USE THIS SCRIPT:

1. Right click on your model in Animation Set Editor and click "Rig"

2. Select "Load Rig Script"

3. Navigate in this menu to "game\workshop\scripts\sfm\animset\"

4. To create the in-game cloaking effect, select "setup_cloaking_eta_pyside.py"

5. Once you select that script, you will be prompted with a select color option, as well as a box saying "Cloak". This determines what color the cloak is, and if you doing this for a TF2 spy, I strongly recommend Team Spirit corresponding to the spy's true colors (badpun.exe)

6. For the box below the color selection saying "Cloak", You should use "One Bar Cloak". This means that instead of having to set each part of your model's textures to an individual cloak bar, you simply slide a bar around to cloak it.

7. Hit done and now your model has a new slider called "Cloak". You can work it with the timeline or graph editor like any other slider or model bone, to make a model cloak or uncloak over time.

alright, to clear up some stuff what you want to do is you do NOT want to select "Cloak" which is the standard option. instead, use regular one bar and not ALPHA one bar. (as of right now)

I would appreciate very, very much if someone would post and/or link any kind of tutorial/guide on how to use this AT ALL.

Since i'm not familiar with scripts and Doc simply didnt give any kind of advice.

For those who are confused, this adds a new slider to the model it's applied to. Simply move the slider to apply the cloak
