I dunno about this; I think you need to look at unintended solutions. The only flinging I did was to fling myself up to a pedestal button to drop the sphere and to fling the cube into the excursion funnel. Otherwise, I just portalled around. Here is the video of my solution.

I don't have to perform any flings in the room where I put the ball on the button. How? Portals and jumping (spacebar). Also if you forget to place portals above the fling pit in the room with the entrance and exit, trapped.

Not bad, the only problem I encountered was getting stuck at the bottom of the first shaft
