The purpose of this mod is not just to add more interesting skyboxes, but to give them logic. Now, how the space around you will look on the system map will depend on the position of the system in the galaxy.

At the moment, 157 skyboxes have been added.

Total 8 positions:
  • Outer Rim
  • Mid Rim
  • Inner Rim
  • Core
  • Near Nebula (27)
  • Dark Nebula
  • Inner Nebula (14)
  • Close Nebula (18)
  • Bright Nebula
  • Beyond Galaxy

In a sense, this is an experiment. I would like to do more, but I was in a hurry. Therefore, if this mod finds its fans, then I will develop it.



This mod will not be compatible with Real Space - Star Cluster. This should be logically clear. This mod is for those who want to play on a full map of the Galaxy, while the Star Cluster is only a local place in the Galaxy. This means that the logic of this mod will contradict the Star Cluster.



My work is completely dependent on your donations. I have a lot of plans, friends, but they will be realized only thanks to you.

As of late, Patreon no longer works for me. I can only get your help through Boosty[boosty.to] and am switching to the new support model. You can now choose which project to support. I will be able to start upgrading as soon as we raise the necessary amount. The good news is that updates will appear immediately on Steam and will be available to everyone.

If anyone would try to add this mid-game and will be wondering "..and where is my cool-looking space", seems like its fixable by console commands, one-by-one:
event colouroutofdeep.1

event colouroutofdeep.3
as i understand those are mod events, placing flags for bg's all around map, which usually should be triggered by start of new game(which is not gonna happen if you are mid-game, obviously).

For mp - just load in sp, execute commands, save and continue in mp seems to work normally as far as i see.

Sadly for all those wondering, this is not achievement/Ironman compatible. It predominantly replaces the sky boxes within star systems so should be loaded above any other mods that might do the same. It also from my experience does not seem to require the main Real Space mod despite it being listed as a requirement.

Would absolutely love an Ironman compatable version of this though. Would make for the perfect addition to any modset.

Hi, I know the base Real Space mod is compatible with Immersive Beautiful Stellaris but Im not sure if this addon is? Can anybody tell me? Thanks!
