Hello and welcome to this guide! In this guide you will learn the steps of killing your enemy efficiently in a way that you can customize for your own choice in elements. After reading this guide you will not instantly become the master of the battlefield, you will need to practice but the guide is noob friendly and meant for anyone to learn from.

The steps of killing your enemy efficiently is equally important and are the following.

• Surviving - The boring part but essential. How to adapt and counter.
  
• Initiation - The beginning of a battle. This part is about gaining the advantage early on.
  
• Efficient Damage - The middle part of a battle. This is all about dealing a lot of damage fast.
  
• Finish him! - The end part of a battle. This part covers the subject of killing an fleeing opponent.

Now let the guide begin!

Surviving is very important, you cant kill when you're dead right? So in order to survive you will need to adapt depending on situation. How many enemies and allies are close? What type of elements do your enemies use? Oh sh*t is that death!?

Wards

Wards - Shield - Anything - Anything Self cast [E,X,X]

In order to survive you will need to use wards no question about it. But why are the important? Wards will protect you from thoose elements you have chosen to ward with and cut the damage in half or totally resist the damage of an element if you choose to only ward one element. They also resist status effects of that element. Be aware that using for example a fire ward when wet since it wont let you dry yourself because you are resisting fire effects.

Status effects and counters:

• Burnig by Fire - Will tick damage over time. Counter by using fire ward before being burned or when burning use water or cold AOE to extinguish the flames.
  
  
• Wet by Water - Being wet will increase the damage taken by electricity and you will get frozen faster than dry in addition to this you will not be able to cast anything with electricity, if you do this you will be hit with 600 dmg instantly. Counter by having water ward or dry yourself with fire aoe.
  
  
• Chilled by Cold - Will slow you down and if hit with enough cold damage you will get frozen. Counter by fire AOE or Cold ward. This is maybe one of most dangerous statuses since if you are heavily slowed your movement will be easily predictble and controlled.
  
  
• Quaked by Earth - This is not really a status but a full Earth AOE will knock you to the ground and can be countered by Earth ward. Being knocked down while chilled will make the fall last longer.
  
  
• Ministun by Electricity - Not a status either but walking through an electricity field isn't much fun and even less fun getting mini-stunned. Countered by Electricity ward.

To use wards correctly you will want to be able to switch when needed. When to switch can be when someone throws a thunderstorm or Tactical Dragon Strike at you. Changing to Electricity ward because your enemy just hit you with Electricity is a bad idea since it takes up time and gives your opponent more time to strike. But if your enemy started spamming one particular element, lets say Cold then its a good idea to switch ward.

Shields and Walls

Shields - Shield selfcast/cast [E]
Walls - Shield, Earth, Anything Cast [E,D,X]

Running from an enemy might sometimes be the best to do and without Teleport or Haste you will need to take action against incoming attacks. Use walls for incoming projectiles and shields for beams. Always shield an incoming beam because when it bounces back it will knock your enemy to the ground! If fleeing from an opponent very close to you consider using Water Wall [E,D,Q] it will explode and throw your enemy away from you.

Lightning spam is common and most time it can be hard to avoid but it cant penetrate an electric field such as [E,A,X] which will act as a shield for electricity and if you're in luck your enemies will charge straight in it.

Oh you have finished the survival stuff? Good let the fun begin!

Initiation and Engagement is all about getting the advantage, what kind of advantage you might wonder and the answear is that there is several. Position advantage, Health advantage and Status advantage. Let me break them down for you.

• Health advantage - The obvious one, you have more health than your opponent after first encounter. This can be done by a pre-emptive strike, you might not see your enemy yet but you know he is there. Start charging a rock or use your beam carefully, and by carefully i mean use it only to give your enemies status effects, more on that below. When doing a pre-emptive strike you will have to anticipate your enemies wards. Fling a burning rock or maybe a cold one at them?
  
  
• Status advantage - Give your enemies unwanted statuses, like burning, chilled, wet. Be aware of their wards and see if there is something they cant counter. Example: Using cold damage is a very good choice if your enemy have a fire ward since he wont be able to counter the chilling effects.
  
  
• Position advantage - Get your enemy into a position where his movements are limited and predictable such as push him into one of the map walls/edges with steam or water. Another sort of position advantage is Quake [D,D,D] knocking your opponents around you to the ground giving you time to attack. Using teleport/haste can be crucial to get a position advantage.

Combining Status and Position advantages can be so powerful that even if your enemy would have double of your health you could still get the kill easily.

Ah, the most fun part. Damage damge damge, alot of it and it should be fast!

In the picture above you see a frozen target in an Electric field being beamed with Arcane damage.
This is an example of efficient damage but it can be even more efficient with some imagination!
So effecient damage is when you are able to deal damage not with one combo but several at the same time! Do do this correctly you will need to combine your knowledge of your enemies wards, position advantages (or if you still are able to predict their movements without the advantage) and status advantages.

Having your enemy burn and walk one mines while you electrocute him is always fun and will deal alot of damage! You can ofcourse not channel more than one combo at the sametime so you will have to use attacks which can be placed on the ground and then channel elements such as Fire [F,F,F].

The following combos can be used to deal damage at the same to enemies:

• Mines - Shield, Arcane, Anything [E,S,X] Very good damage but beware that they may harm you aswell if you get to close but sometimes taking a punch to give a punch can be worth it.
  
  
• Electricity fields - Shield, Electricity, Anything [E,A,X] Highly useful since it does good damage and ministuns your enemy. Notice that a field have 4-5 little balls of electricity and if you trap an enemy in between of two then he will take damage from both, that is over 200 damage every tick!
  
  
• Walls - Shield, Earth, Anything [E,D,X] Good damage but can just as mines hit you aswell and if done incorrectly help the enemy escape from you.

When you are done setting up mines/walls/fields you can start channel element combo of your choice and get ready for some efficient damage! Be aware that you cant place mines, walls and fields on top of each other because that will make them disappear but you can still place them close enough to each other that they all do damage to desired target.

BEWARE!

Trying to achieve maximum damage in one blow with a mix of mines, ele fields, walls can lead to your own death or your targets escape from you, sometimes its better to keep it simple!

Enemies chasing you is the easiest to trap in mines, walls and ele fields all you need to to is drop a well timed mine or anything in liking. Dont make the misstake to chase desperately yourself!

Sometimes or rather often you end up with an low healthed enemy fleeing. Somtimes it feels impossible catching them. The most easiest way is of course to teleport/haste but sometimes you dont have it available to you. If your enemy have the wits to throw up walls it can be tough to get the kill.

Walls break easily, steams and beams break walls so fast you wont even have time to imagine it, but it wont do any dmg if your enemy throws up a shield as well. In that case throw a projectile when a wall isn't up and destroy walls with beams or steams (fire and water works to).

When an enemy set a shield on the ground while already having a shield on the ground since before both will disappear shortly after the second one is up which gives you a moment of oppertunity to use a beam, remember that a fire beams will set your enemies on fire which they have to counter unless they wanna burn to death and that will give you more time to get closer. Cold beams is also good if you want to slow them down instead of burning them. This of course depends on their ward but they cant ward Cold and Fire at the same time because they are the opposite of elements.

Make use of the map to aim if you can't see him in your field of view. Example in the picture.

It wont always go smooth trying to kill someone as it might have sounded in the guide but if you learn to do this you will have a much easier time dealing with your opponents!

This video is a bit outdated, you can't spam Frost rocks anymore atleast not at this rate but getting chilled is still a very dangerous situation!
