What's New:

April 7, 2020:

New "Game Keys" macros for dropping stones. To use them, go to Options->Game Keys.
A simple table Goban without feet sits on the side, for your personal thieving :-) (thanks for the suggestion, NettleSoup!)

Various tweaks and such. I think I made the white stone a touch less "grey"

January 12, 2020:

* New right-click menu :-) Select your size and snapping options.
* Bowls now play stone rustling sound.
* Various other tweaks I can’t remember at the moment.

Older:
Floor goban model, higher res stone collision, snap points, nicer go bowls.
----

I thought the built-in go board was a little sad, so I made this.

It's a nicer looking setup, with better looking (and behaving) stones. It also has some scripted features, like a nigiri button and quick-play macros. Supports 9x9, pair go, and multicolor go.

See the notebook for more info.

Future plans are clocks, undo/redo, coordinates, etc.

Exactly what I was looking for. All the board sizes, prisoner bowls, and a beautiful backdrop and sound effects to boot. Thanks

That's amazing, thankyou! I put the original one in my game room with a credit, I'll replace it with the table board next time I do an update! It does seem a bit unhappy about being copy/pasted, but I convinced it to work :D

@NettleSoup, I added a table go board for you. Check it out :-)

@Impredecible, I'm currently working on making the board smarter (for undo/review, capturing, gave saving, etc.) Score estimation is just one of those things that's actually difficult (and done poorly even on go servers). However, territory counting, at the end of a game, IS possible, and one of those things I'd like to put in.

Thank you for this, it's awesome!
Just a question: I'm guessing it would be hard to code, but would there be any way of showing the current territory after placing stones? I'm a newbie and I'm still having some trouble understanding how territory works, so it would help a lot.

No prob, steal and use however you like :-)

Yeah that's what I ended up doing, just the feet look a little sad. But it's awesome, thanks! Much nicer for teaching people the game on than the default board.

Do you mind if I shove it in the corner of my game room mod, with a credit? (I have a room with shogi, go, chess and a load of other random games in it)

NettleSoup, If you want a thinner "table" board, you can unlock it with "L" and use "volume scale" tool to squeeze it to your desired height and save it. Then you can bring a proper table in (Objects->tables) or save the squeezed goban itself as an object that you can import into any scene (Right-click -> save object)

I might make a simpler "table" version when the scripts settle down, though.

Glad you like it! Cheers :-)

This is really, really nice! I don't suppose it would be possible to get a table board too?
