okay OKAY i see what you're saying, but Dallas tells Bain off in both tutorials even though he hadn't messed up,, this is one of the major and only interactions he has with his team.
that and y'know you get to keep your money unless it's for killing a person or for extra things and NOT for special drills, which we can assume he pays for himself...
he hacks in stealth, delays the police, breaks you out of jail (and blames himself for "messing up"), convinces the police to let you go for ONE civilian (canon, check fbi files), covers your tracks when you leave, doesn't really get angry when you fail stealth, has all the contacts/pilots/getaway drivers...
the thermal drill line is a small price to pay for the rest of the stuff,
