Yeah, not plonking down stuff as I like, and actually moving some unit around (I don't want that), there -is- fighting. And it's not buildings collecting the resources even?

I've played games like that, don't want to play more. Spend your money on something nice for yourself. :)

You build your castle(s) up as you play. One building, one turn. You move your little dude around 10 pixels, probably dont do much fighting, collect resources, and build one building in your castle, the you click next turn. So in a way it is a turn-based building game. If you've never played it before, I will buy it for you when I get a little extra if you'd promise to give it a shot at least

That's fighting, not building. I want building, not fighting. :)

Heroes of Might and Magic 3?

Only if you'd class Theme Hospital, for example, as board game or card game.

Terraforming Mars or anything like it. There's probably other board games gone video game that fit the same bill, it really sounds like you're describing a lot of solitaire board games.
