Routing through the bottom left is a terrible idea because of the patriarch at the end. Should he destroy the towers in that area, it's pretty much left defenseless for all of the other lumes to run right through. Better to route counter-clockwise through the top lane and leave the bottom left open to kite the patriarch. As a secondary defense, AR Mines can be put down along the bottom left path to the core just in case the Pat makes it past your kiting.
