I followd this link http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... stcount=21
here's my (more detaild) way to do it:
.Compile your map
.Straight after compile open your maps.bsp with packrat
.there will be afew materials and textures
.you will want to delete any cubemap default textures (there should be 4, 2 are ldr and 2 are hdr)
.after deleting them hit auto and pack any other materials (if auto didnt add them all)
.save the BSP..DO NOT CHANGE THE NAME OF THE BSP WHEN SAVING.. (it must be the same as the name of the vmf you compiled)
.go ingame & once you load up your map you will see the brushes have that pink and black mask style look, not to worry just run "buildcubemaps" in console and leave the game
.once you start your map up again cubemaps should be working.
Hope this helps any1 :-)
the water just becomes chuck norris^^
