The following achievements are automatically unlocked by regular playthrough (assuming you don't die).

Sweet Revenge - Kill the first mushroom.

You get this achievement by killing the very first enemy you encounter. It's impossible to miss.



Ol' Buddy, Ol' semidivine Pal - Add Holy Avatar to your party.

Another achievement that's impossible to miss. Simply finish the first set of baddies and Holy Avatar should automatically join you!

Holy's Angels - Find enough maidens for Holy Avatar.

You get all the maidens through regular playthrough. The maidens are named Mandy, Candy, and Sandy.

Mandy can be found in the first map after beating the first mushroom. She will be with her pet chocochick. Save her pet for another achievement (see Animal Activist).

Candy can be found in Riverwind. A healer named Synthia sent her here for an errand. Be polite to Synthia for another achievement (see Emo Etiquette).

Sandy is found in the crystal caves (the one with the bunnies).



Mother Thumper - Defeat the REAL boss.

You have to beat Mother of God twice in order to get the achievement. Talk to your new ally after beating her once to trigger the next set of events for the final battle.



The next section will provide details on quests that can be missed if not paying attention.

Animal Activist - Save Mandy's chocochick.



When you first encounter Mandy, she will be with her pet. Save her pet to get this achievement. It's quite possible to fail at doing this so I suggest saving before the encounter. It's also advisable to split up Drake and Holy for this battle. Drawing aggro from both sides will lessen the chances of the chocochick being focused.

Emo Etiquette - Be polite to Synthia.



When you first encounter Synthia the healer. Ask her about adding people to your party. She will direct you to Candy. Through the course of the dialogue she will ask if you are suggesting that she willingly sent Candy to a dangerous place. When this happens, DO NOT GIVE HER SARCASM. Stay polite and you will get the achievement + a potion!

Semi-Divine Tales - Survive the special tutorial in Station Wish.



During the tutorial you will notice that both Drake and Holy have obsessions (think Limit Break). Holy's obsession is to ramble on. When you first reach Station Wish (the first town), keep talking to Holy until he starts rambling. This long dialogue will trigger the achievement.

Good Cop, Bad Cop - Convince Rukel to give back his loot.



To get this achievement, I talked to Rukel during two instances. Once after getting Sandy. And another after beating Sir Execution. In both instances, make sure to be suspicious of him. Do not suspect him outright or be forceful. Just corner him with conversation and he will fork out the item in the second instance. (I apologize if this may seem vague but this is the best I can explain it). Just make sure not to threaten him. Save the game before talking to him.

This last portion deals with the collectible Bonus Mushrooms.

They are very easy to get and you activate the first achievement by collecting 1/4 mushrooms and the next by collecting all 4!

"It's-a-me!" - Find a bonus mushroom.

The Ultimate Quest - Find all bonus mushrooms.

Mushroom Locations:

The first mushroom is near Mandy. Check the bottom right corner. Walk over it and the green mushroom should pop up!



The second mushroom is located in the same area where you meet Angelina. Go past the ruins where the goblins are/were (same area where you find Angelina's Harp) and you will find a bunch of mushroom enemies. Wade through this area for another bonus mushroom!



The third mushroom is east of where West goes on a rampage after rambling about Viets.



The fourth mushroom can be found in the Dark Church base. It's near the indiana jones puzzle.
