THE ADVENTURE MART (v.41)

Description
WARNING: Development of this MOD has ceased and it is not up to date with the current version of the game. If you are a MODDER and would like to continue making this mod better/fixing issues, please do so, as you have my permission.

WARNING PART2: Hello to all MOD users, if you are using this mod then you hopefully looked at the last time I updated it... almost 3 years ago... i.e IT IS NOT UP TO DATE....and I have no plans to update it currently. I have not played nor modded Torchlight 2 in all this time, and none of my mods are up to date as the game as been patched many times since I last modded it.. so yes its very possible this mod, and my other mods dont work anymore.

Sorry but please use common sense, and look at when a mod was last updated before attempting its use. The mod is still here and posted so that if someone wanted to update it/make it better or merge it into a compiliation after fixing said issues, they can and have my permission to do so. Good Luck.

The Adventure Mart

An IMPORTANT Message from Draconius:

-Please place the Adventure Mart at the top of your load order for it to function as intended.

The Adventure Mart mod for Torchlight 2 is based off one of my favorite games, Baldurs Gate 2 Shadows of Amn. In that game there was a central shopping hub in the city of Athkatla, where you could buy everything you needed to get started on your journey. There was also a very high priced merchant who sold very expensive equipment to those with enough coin. He ran a shop called The Adventure Mart.

What I wanted to do was bring a bit of the magic from Baldurs Gate 2 into Torchlight 2, by creating a central hub of shops and merchants who sold not only the basics but very, very High End Gear to those who had saved up large sums of gold coin. Now you have the same shopping options in Torchlight 2, and finally have a reason to save up all that hard earned gold.

What does The Adventure Mart Do?

-Adds three completely new Merchants to the Estherian Enclave

Ribald Barterman (Completely Overhauled in V.39)

"Retired Adventurer" has now set up shop in the Estherian Enclave, and is trying to sell his vast collection of treasures to adventures who can put them to good use once again.

-Ribald sells Magic, Unique, and Legendary Weapons and Armor that are not limited by player level. He does not sell normal or green equipment any longer.

-Ribald also sells Rings, Necklaces, Magic Gems, Collars, Studs and Socketables of the highest tiers in the game as of v.40

-New to v.39 Ribald is now guaranteed to always have plenty of Legendary and Uniques in Stock.

-Ribald's costs are three times the gold cost of a standard Merchant. This is due to the cost of convenience, for quickly and easliy finding some the best gear in the game. They can be very pricey.

-What is spawned in Ribalds Store is not dependent upon your level. Are you level 30 and strong enough to wield a lvl 90 Sword, but cant find one.. NO MATTER!! Ribald Barterman has one you can buy and use.

-Increases merchants inventories drastically.

CROMWELL "The Legendary Blacksmith" (Complete)

Cromwell moved into the Enclave with Ribald and kicked out Theos the worthless green item Blacksmith and now Forges weapons of excellence. Green's and Blues's, can spawn at his Forge, and all will be close to your current level. Also his prices are not so marked up as Ribalds as the items spawned are limited by your characters level, up to +10 levels above. Cromwell crafts the best armor in the game, at your level, unless you buy something incredibly epic from Ribald, at an epic price.

DRACONIUS "The Legendary Salesman" of all Things "Shiny" (Completed in V.39)

Draconius is a Wizard of Sorts, he dabbles in Magic and the like... but his real passion is money. So he's a Salesman on the side selling some of his magical crap. He may not have all the fancy gear that Ribald has, but his stuff is lower priced, and adjusts more to your level.

Draconius sells Rings, Necklaces, Magic Gems, Collars, Studs, Maps, and Spells. All of these items are limited by Level of the player, so he is useful through the entire game. Go see him from level 1 to level 105 and he will have something fresh for you. If you are starting as a new character or low level, it may take some time before Draconius's stock is full.

*****Important*****
-Please place the Adventure Mart at the top of your load order for it to function as intended.

-These Merchants have highly increased Magic Find % meaning that the gear they do spawn will always be of higher level and quality than regular Torchlight 2, this includes Greens and Blues, as well as Uniques, and Legendaries.

-You may need to reroll your world, or leave the enclave and comeback after about 5-10 minutes for all Merchants inventories to be restocked.

-Draconius and Ribald no longer have buyback sections, so you cannot sell to them, only purchase. You can still sell to Cromwell or any other merchant. This is done to prevent OverStock from flowing into the buyback bag and end up priced far below what the items should have been priced. (i.e to prevent cheating)

-Health and Mana Potions and Scrolls of Town Portal, and Identify are (for the time being) now found with Cromwell.

-This mod is not intended to be a cheat, and is not game breaking. You will still have to earn all the gold you spend in these shops. If you have earned your money the old fashioned way, killing monsters and completing quests, then you should be allowed to spend it on what you want Right? If you are cheating in the game then you are cheating yourself. This mod was designed to allow more freedom of choice and options for the player who has earned and saved up large sums of money the right way and likes to work towards a goal to buy what they want.

i don't know is the author is still active or if anyone else is having this problem but this mod breaks my game a bit in an annoying way. With this mod active i can no long quick equip items by right clicking them, i now have to drag and drop every time i want a new gear piece in place.

This mod causes the first page of purchasable maps in the Mapworks to be blank, but the 2nd and 3rd pages have maps still.

Any idea on how this works with LAO? (mainly LAO 2.0.) i'm assuming it should work fine and the merchants should sell the items that LAO adds, since far as i know they're added to the same spawnclass as normal legendaries.

Like the mod so far but after my first few hours of playing with it on my Shot/Duel pistol outlnder the weapon sellers only sell melee weapons.. is that suposed to be or am I just very unlucky? I exited and re-entered the town many times to reset their stock but always melee only.
