-----Proper Description-----

This is a mod that adds a new class to Torchlight 2. Well really, it actually brings an old class back:

The Destroyer.

Monsters of Torchlight thought that they were rid of him, but with this mod, he is back to show them that they are DEAD wrong.

The Destroyer is a warrior class originating from Torchlight 1, which focuses on dealing burst damage by using heavy hitting melee attacks. Along with the default male and female bodies, this mod features a special 3D model that lets you play as the larger, more muscular, Destroyer.
(preview examples can be seen above).

This class uses the same exact skills that it had in Torchlight 1, without any balance tweaks or changes! That means you can use your favorite build from Torchlight 1 and DESTROY your enemies (again?) in Torchlight 2!! I originally had plans to re-touch the balance of the skills, but after playing the class in the endgame, I found that the original Torchlight 1 balance was strong enough to handle all content, both vanilla and modded (Ex: Synergies, TL2-ACE). Also, leaving it with the original balance preserves the way that the Destroyer class was created. So, even if you’ve never played Torchlight 1, you can enjoy the brute strength of the Destroyer, the way it always felt (quite painful, if you are an enemy).

Special thanks to Phanjam, an invaluable asset to the modding community, for providing the Torchlight 1 skill icons.

In terms of future patches, I will make a big summary of 2023 changes and add it both here and in the comments section when the bulk of changes is completed, since I will be updating the Destroyer quite a bit and the change notes can become easily cluttered. Most new changes will be for adding aesthetics, in order to further polish the mod.

@HiFive You reminded me that we have alot of huge, must-have mods out there and that we often have to switch our load orders in and out. Just thinking about that and experiencing it with my own load order, I'm very honored that you would have the Destroyer in your mod list. I personally have a ton of class mods that I stay subscribed to, even when I don't load them, because I just can't let go of them LOL. To think that the Destroyer can come off the bench and be played from time to time really makes it worth all of the updating. Thank you so much, I appreciate it.

I'd like to echo steffire3's comments. It's good to see you back and willing to continue upgrading your mod. I've been experimenting with a lot of different mod classes and your Destroyer is part of my new mod list.

@ Anoka (author) : I used to play-test all kinds of TL2-mod classes back in the years of 2015 up till 2018 and it taught me much about game balance and skill ideas.

Hey there! I do see this coming up as a topic from time to time, so I think I will make a general post about it and move comments regarding wardrobe to that thread. As mentioned in some other comments, the big Destroyer cannot be wardrobed for many reasons, and if you want to just play the class but want to see the armors, the male Descendant (included) has all the skills (and more), but with the ability to also see "clothing changes".
