The Romans thought about what could strengthen their armies and they found some very experienced warriors in their gladiator arenas. Those old Veterans survived hundreds of fights. Why not freeing them and recruiting them for a new class of troups? After so many fights one thing is clear: They probably aren't going to die tomorrow.

This mod adds 2 new units to the Roman roaster: Roman Veteran Gladiatores. They are very rare, expansive and powerfull. After researching professional soldiery you can recruit them in gladiator buildings lvl 3-5 and as general's bodyguard. Thy have a unit cap of 6 because there are not that many veteran gladiatores ;)

• Sword-Shield unit with heavy armour. Very good against melee infantry.

• Spear-Shield pendant with bonus against Cavalry but also good against weaker infantry. More a defense unit.
