Tomashavn Train Station (2-track)

Beskrivelse
It's a contemporary and imaginary train station with 2 tracks, made for my city of Tomashavn that I haven't been able to develop since I've been busy making assets for it.

Background
So I needed a train station with about 6 to 8 tracks. And the station had to be contemporary. And I didn't want it to have subway station or bus station attached, so I ended up creating my own station. Next you'll say that this only has two tracks, and you're right. This is a kind of a by-product of the final station asset.

Stats
It has stats and a reasonable amount of triangles and a LOD and stuff. It actually has a bazillion sub-buildings. If you want even more sub-buildings, try the 4-track version.

The station platform is 176 m (22 u) long, not including the 5 m ramps at the ends. The double-track station track between the switches is shorter than that due to certain game limits, sorry.

Please notice that the station requires leveled terrain. If you alter the terrain after placing the stations, some parts of it might get a bit wonky and something else might also happen.

Screenshots
Screenshots have been taken with Daylight classic on. The asphalt is painted with Surface Painter. VIVID LUT is used. Map theme is Realistic Boreal. The train in the picture is Bombardier TWINDEXX.

If you use this asset in your city, I'd be happy to see some screenshots! I'll add the best shots to the asset page!

Here's a link to station fbx and texture files [drive.google.com]. I will probably not update or upload new versions of these assets but if you want to continue my work, feel free to do so (credits are appreciated).

Creating assets takes a lot of time and in the future I'll probably concentrate first remaking my assets for CS2.

@ruiluth, if I manage to gather motivation to update the stations I will upload them as new. At the time when I was creating these, I was told that the maximum length for a station track segment is about 22 u. If the segment is stretched longer than that something weird might happen.

If you don't want to break these stations, would you consider creating new, updated ones that we could use instead? I use these all the time and their little quirks are pretty annoying. Especially for me, the fact that the station track is so much shorter than the platforms. It's nice to have a station that's longer than the vanilla station, but it doesn't matter much if the trains are longer than the station track itself.

Yeah its on the ends. I found somewhat of a work around, but don't apologize! It's a fantastic station! I look forward to more of your stuff!

@Crusader, do you mean the tracks or the platforms? Can you post a picture of your issue? The station needs to be placed on flat ground because I was stupid and chose bad templates for the sub-buildings.

I'm also aware that there might be some issues with the tracks on the both ends, I know how to fix them but I don't know how I can do that without breaking every save game.

It's (still) on my list to fix and improve these station assets when I have time. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I have issues with the end tracks deforming upwards and downwards at the ends of the station.

@PUFFPUFFPUFF: I have thought about improving these stations and also giving some options to (visually) extend them. I might do something in the future, but unfortunately I don't have the time for it right now.

Is it possible for you to make a longer version? I subscribed to a Narita Express train that was 9 cars long and it doesnt fit in the entire station, would be really happy if you made it, thanks!
