Cows

About Cows

You can purchase a Cow from Marnie's Ranch for 1,500g when you own a Barn. You have the chance of purchasing a White Cow or a Brown Cow, but the game decides randomly so there is a 50/50 chance of getting either one.

Produce from Cows

A Cow will mature after 5 days, then they will produce Milk every morning (which you can sell for
125g)
- unless they're grumpy, in which case milking them will cue the prompt "*Cow Name* has no Milk right now". When you raise your friendship level, the Cow will start to produce Large Milk, which can be sold for 190g.

You collect Milk from Cows using the Milk Pail and milking your Cows increases your friendship by 5 points.

Placing Milk in a Cheese Press will create the Artisan Good Cheese. Regular Milk will produce normal quality Cheese (sold for 200g), while Large Milk will produce gold quality Cheese (sold for 300g).

Selling your Cows

You can sell your Cows, the selling price will be higher if your friendship with the Cow is respectively higher. A maximum heart Cow can be sold for 1,950g.
Goats

About Goats

You can buy a Goat from Marnie's Ranch for 4,000g once you have upgraded to a Big Barn.

Produce from Goats

Your Goat will mature after 5 days, then they will produce Goat Milk every 2 days, which you can sell for 225g. Once your friendship with your Goat rises, they will start to produce Large Goat Milk, which can be sold for 345g.

Like Cow Milk, Goat Milk is collected using the Milk Pail.

If you place the Goat Milk into a Cheese Press, you will create the Artisan Good Goat Cheese, which you can sell for 375g.

Selling your Goat

You can sell your Goat if you so desire. The value of your Goat rises in co-ordination the friendship you have with it. A maximum heart Goat can be sold for 5,200g.
Sheep

About Sheep

You can buy a Sheep from Marnie's Ranch for 8,000g when you have upgraded to a Deluxe Barn.

Produce from Sheep

When a Sheep's coat grows in, it can be sheared for their Wool, which you may sell for 340g. Shears can be purchased at Marnie's Ranch for 1,000g. A sheep will usually grow it's coat every 3rd day if it has been fed and has over 70 happiness. If you have the Shepherd Profession then the time it takes for the Sheep to grow it's coat will be reduced by one day.

If the Sheep has over 4.5 hearts of friendship with you, the time it takes for the Sheep to grow it's coat reduces by a further one day, meaning that it's possible for your Sheep to grow it's Coat every day.

Selling your Sheep

You can sell your Sheep, like every other animal that you've purchased. The selling price will rise as your friendship with teh Sheep rises, with the maximum heart selling price being 10,400g.
Pigs

About Pigs

You can purchase a Pig from Marnie's Ranch for 16,000g when you have upgraded to a Deluxe Barn.

Produce from Pigs

Your Pig will mature after 10 days, after this it will dig up Truffles and leave them on the ground. Truffles can sell for a base price of 625g.

For a Pig to create it's produce, it must be let outside. A Pig will not dig up Truffles in the Winter or Rain. A Pig has a chance of digging up more than 1 Truffle with a % chance equal to Animal Friendship/1500; which means that at maximum friendship, there's a 66% chance that your Pig will dig up an additional Truffle.

Selling your Pigs

You have the opportunity to sell your Pig if you so wish. The selling price of your Pig is relative to the amount of friendship you have with it. A maximum heart Pig can sell for 20,528g.

How do you make the animals give birth? Does it just happen or do you have to do something like the incubator?

Great guide, but I would also add the expected gold per day for each animal, considering various bonuses. Also, updating the prices for the produce to the latest patch.
For example: The cheese made from the cow now has a base price of 230g, that becomes 345g at gold quality (from large milk). This baseline daily 345g could then be improved to 414g with the Rancher farming bonus, or 483g with the Artisan bonus.

You're welcome, and thank you! :D

Thank you! :D

As for your question, as far as my knowledge goes I believe that you do have to feed your cows the same as chickens.
If not then I've been looking after them all wrong! XD

However, if you have grass growing outside, the animals will eat this when let out onto the farm instead of the hay in their feeders.
This also makes them happier I believe, as generally being outside (aside from on rainy/snowy days) makes any of the animals happier—increasing the likelihood of better produce.

I hope this is helpful in some way! :D
