Immunity
By Neometal
Hi all! In this following guide you can read about how to become immune against the status effect of wisps (the spinning drones), and the oil of oilers and toxoils (and compound polyps, giant toxoils).

The basics
You are probably aware, that most of the helmets and armors have more or less status resistance, but the first thing you have to understand is that how much it is actually worth. The possible resistance an armor or helm can have are: low, medium, high, maximum.

2* stuff usually have low resistance, 3* have medium, 4* have high, and 5* have maximum.

Low resistance is equivalent to 1 point, medium is 2 points, high is 3 points, and maximum is 4 points. Thus, most of the 5* sets have a total of 8 points worth of resistance (for example: Skolver set, Divine set, etc.) In short:

2* helms/armors have 1 point, equivalent to a low uv
3* helms/armors have 2 points, equivalent to a med uv
4* helms/armors have 3 points, equivalent to a high uv
5* helms/armors have 4 points, equivalent to a max uv

The exemptions:
- the 'breaker' sets - the 1* items have 1 point, the 2*s have 2 points, the 3*s have 3 points each
- the Seerus Masks - all 3 versions have 4 points of shock and fire resistance
- the Ignition set - this 1* set has 2 points/item piece
- the Snarbolax set, it has 3 points of freeze and poison res/item piece
- the Almirian set, both the helm and the armor have 2 points of curse resistance each
- the Tri-Guard set (1*) gives 1 point of shock, fire, and freeze

One can also gain additional resistance from trinkets. A 2* trinket is worth 0,5 point; a 3* is 1 point; 4* is 1,5 points; and a 5* trinket is equal to 2 points. Short form:

2* trinkets >>> 0,5 point
3* trinkets >>> 1 point
4* trinkets >>> 1,5 points
5* trinkets >>> 2 points

The exemptions:
- the 5* Gift of Autumn gives 1 point of freeze (same as the Warm Heartstone Pendant, the 3* freeze trinket)
- the 4* Golden Solstice Ring gives 1 point of fire and 0,5 point of freeze
- the 4* Silver Solstice Ring gives 1 point of freeze and 0,5 point of fire
- the 5* Grand Solstice Ring gives 1 point of freeze and fire each
Of course, these trinkets also give health bonus.

The perks from sprites can also provide with extra points, and naturally, you can get more resistance with unique variants, as well, the ranking is the same (low=1, med=2, etc.).
The important part
To gain full immunity against the things listed in the intro, you have to have at least 8,5 points of resistance.
This can be achieved in many ways, a few common examples:

- a 5* set with an at least low UV (e. g. a Volcanic Demo set with one fire low or higher UV)
(Note: for this method, it is better to obtain a 2-3* piece of clothing with the UV and upgrading it, rather than trying to roll for the UV later on - Punch can be a freaking troll sometimes.)
- a 5* set with an at least 2* trinket (e. g. a Mercurial set with a Driftwood Bracelet or higher)
- a 5* set with your sprite's perk (e. g. a Nameless set with the Cold Blooded perk)

Of course, there are almost endless possibilities, ranging from the extreme shock max Chaos set with a Wyrmwood Bracelet and the Grounding perk, from the humble Ash Tail set with two Sizzling Hearthstone Pendants.
The bottom line is that you have to reach that 8,5 points. it's basic maths.
Useful examples, and scenarios
Now that you know all of this, you can start thinking about getting some extra status resistance on your armors/helmets.
In the meantime, I'm gonna list a few examples where immunity can be really useful, and viable items for it:
(note: I'll refer to additional resistance from uvs, perks, etc as boosting)

- In the danger mission, Ghosts in the Machine, having shock immunity will make the dangerous mission a piece of cake. Well, not so much the 1st depth, but completely ignoring the Golden Storm Wisps on the right side of the 2nd depth is undoubtedly beneficial.
Recommended items: boosted Grey Feather/Divine/Merculiar Demo set, Seerus Mask.

- In the danger mission, Compound 42, the toxoils, giant toxoils, and the compound polyps can ruin your day if you are not careful. However, having at least one immunity will make this mission a breeze, having dual immunity will make it into a simple walk in the park. You will not only be able to just simply walk across the oil without having to worry about getting poisoned; even if it catches on fire, (besides the possible vision block) it won't hurt you AT ALL. You could even take a bath in it, if you wanted to. :D
*NOTE* The oil of the toxoils spawned by the polyps is stronger than the regular ones'. That oil can make you burn/be poisoned, so watch out for those toxoils.
Recommended items: this list would be too long, a boosted Dragon Scale set is your best option, but any boosted set with fire and/or poison could do the job.

- In (would you have guessed?) the danger mission, Heart of Ice freeze immunity can make life a bit easier. Again, not so much in the 1st depth, since that particular part with Winter Wisps/crystal blocks only occasionally appears, but having to worry about one less thing in the 2nd depth will make it easier to move on and dodge attacks from the enemy - mostly those from the fiends.
Recommended items: Skolver/Snarbolax set; any kat set - preferably the Black Kat; Dread Skelly/ice Queen set; but the two ele/freeze sets, the Nameless and Bombastic aren't a bad option either, ofc all these with boost

- In the Firestorm Citadel (where you will/would prolly spend most of your time) there are only 6 oilers, but they are always next to sources of fire and will likely get set aflame. Having fire immunity there is not a must, but can make those parts a tad easier.
Recommended items: again, too long list, just get a boosted set with fire (but is just only fsc, you can go there basically in anything you want).
Final words
I believe this wraps up everything you need to know about this topic. Remember: 8,5 points only, and it can turn the tides.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments below.

(note: I am planning to add short videos to the guide, would highly appriciate if some of you guys could help me out with that)

Remek útmutató, igaz a szerény angol tudásom gátolta a teljes megértését. :)
