The map was primarily for Deathmatch. It can also be played in Classic, despite having no objective for some interesting elimination gameplay. Be warned that the metal meshes around the elevator shaft in either stairway can be shot through.

This map is based on the d1_trainstation_03 map from Half Life 2. I had always thought the layout for the apartments in Half Life 2 would work in a multiplayer environment. And I wanted to see what Half Life 2 would look like in a newer Source Engine version, so I combined the two ideas and created this map.

As there is no Russian/Eastern European CT faction in CS:GO, I chose the SAS because I think they look cool in game, and are kind of like the Civil Protection from Half Life 2.
