More than 2 years after release, their biggest DLC was released, but they don't care enough to fix simple problems that should be unacceptable in 2024 for anyone.

There are a couple of problems I wanna talk about:

1) My game freezes randomly in random areas without any reason. So I'm walking or riding Torrent, and the game freezes for a couple of seconds (sometimes around 10 SECONDS) and for some reason I either need to wait or press Alt+Tab, and it unfreezes. It changes game from frames per second to frame per seconds.
So I found out it has something to do with CPU affinity. You need to change it in the task manager, but when you try it shows access denied because of EAC. If you use mod to turn EAC off, you can, without any problem, change CPU affinity.
This problem should be very easily fixed on FromSoftware's side, but it just isn't for no reason. I don't understand why most people have not this problem. It has nothing to do with my GPU, CPU or anything else. I even completely fresh installed Windows and nothing changed.
This is the only game that does this stupid ♥♥♥♥.
2) Well, that is just... I don't even know how this is possible. Japanese studio doesn't have native support for Dualsense and Dualshock on PC. A JAPANESE STUDIO DOESN'T HAVE NATIVE SUPPORT FOR JAPANESE CONTROLLERS. That is just unbelievable.
Of course, you can mod PS icons, but again, you need to turn off EAC.
3) 60 FPS lock, no Ultrawide support, can't turn off vsync in game, no upscalers. They decided to use DX12 but there is no shaders pre-compilation, so you're 100% gonna get stutters. ANYWAY, LOOK GUYS, THEY ADDED RAY TRACING.
All these things are common and easily fixed ♥♥♥♥. Again, you need to turn off EAC to fix basically any problem, but you lose all multiplayer elements. In Sekiro there is no Anti-Cheat and you can fix all of Sekiro problems (2019 GOTY has same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ problems as 2022 GOTY, FromSoftware's stability I suppose).
It's 2010s lowest quality standards and can you imagine there is a game in 2024 with 500k+ players (only on Steam) missing any of it.

All these problems come from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ need to have this stupid Ant-Cheat. No problem to turn it off, download mods and play Elden Ring as you're supposed to from a fresh install.
Of course, they can just optimize their stupid code and add native support for most common things. I'm sure only one person can do it.

There are no achievements for DLC. Almost every game developer adds achievements for DLCs, but it's not about FromSoftware of course. They are always behind everyone.

After all, this ♥♥♥♥ gonna win best DLC of the year, maybe some other awards, sell very well, and nobody will ever care that this game doesn't meet any quality standards.
All of that is because Elden Ring is made for consoles. You can see that releasing this game on PC is their side quest that they don't even want to finish.

Maybe it's just their way of revenge for bombing them. Because if there is any explanation, that's the only one I see.

Update: After trying everything, I finally found how to fix freezes. The problem is that Elden Ring can't work with multithreading. I turned off SMT, and everything works as it should. All of that is because they refuse to fix their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ code.

I mean, it has some issues but without EAC it should work just fine, I really think the problem's on your end, https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/4914
here's a mod for cpu priority, if it's not the one you were using already, here it is, it fixed everything for me and as it doesn't change anything in the files of the game itself, it's usable with EAC, hope it'll help !

it isn't even EAC, FromSoftware fucked up how ER uses cpu threads

well, yeah, 5600x might struggle with the game, it wouldn't surprise me tbf, EAC truly is poorly optimized in this title

5600X is too weak, sure buddy

yes EAC is a "problem", your game freezing is a problem with your PC though, probably too weak of a CPU
