A great prequel to the XCOM series. Purely looking at it only as an action 3PS, with no prior interest in XCOM, you will probably not like it. If you ignore expectations built up from playing other 3PS games (it is not pure 3PS, rather it is sort of halfway between the turn-based isometric XCOM games and a tactical command 3PS), and suspend your disbelief, allowing yourself to get immersed into this great backstory to the XCOM storyline, it's actually fairly enjoyable. At the risk of comparing the two games (beause TB:XD is in a totally different league to X:E), I see the poor reaction to "The Bureau: XCOM Declassified" as somewhat similar to that of "XCOM: Enforcer," people just don't know how to enjoy a game for its intended feel / storyline, and get too caught up in game mechanics! That said, I think they do some interesting things with it. Try it out if it's on special. Enjoy!
