(review in contruction during playthru)

+New & improved cutscene voiceacting.
-Awfully written script.
+Finally new music added to the existing series of music tracks!
+New and much nicer level terrains and mechanics such as the teleport, catapult levels.
+New animations within the levels is most welcoming of a design change.

-Appropriate for ages 3-6 years old.
-Fairly short, 5 hour playtime.
-Has a mobile game feel to it, and yet has a clean indie polish.
+Cute music & sound effects.
-Along the lines of a Clicker genre.
-Game is really just a time-waster.
+Added a Civ I 'city building' puzzle-like aspect to the game after completely level, that's kinda nice to see as a reward.
+/- Added a boss battle to the game, it's one of the first levels, but you never see the monster again, the battle is really just completing the level, so it was disappointing.
+Added a few new level designs that are more refreshing compared to the first & even the second game.
+Added an improved tutorial that feels more direct, explainitive and cleaner.
+This game is better than the first in the series, and slightly better the second as it brings a few new small additions to the series, but almost identical to the second game.
-Reused music from the 2nd, gets repetitive over many levels, some new sounds added that are welcoming.
-Sprites slightly smaller than the 2nd game in the series, and i think that was a poor design choice.
-Once again, there is something special and addicting to the game genre & design, i think the game itself was half-baked in terms of creativity and theme, not to mention theme reused in multiple games.
+Each game of the series has a slighly higher polish and snappier than the previous title.
+/- Wouldn't recommend the game to people, but if you wanted to play the better game in the series so far this is would be the one to try out, as it's tightened up in design.
-2/5 stars.

-Appropriate for ages 3-6 years old.
-Fairly short, Aprox. 5 hours or under of playtime to complete.
+Slightly better than the first game in the series.
+Added a few new small addition of concepts & objectives for each level.
-Same music as first game, maybe a few new tracks added, disappointed.
+Game has a slightly higher polish.
+Runs a lot faster, units are zippier!
-More of the same from the first game, disapointed.
+Game difficulty has greatly increased due to new options, making timer extreemly faster, but thats a poor excuse for adding challange.
-Boring, more of the same for every level, very little challenge.
-Has a mobile game feel to it, and yet has a clean indie polish.
+Cute music & sound effects.
-Along the lines of a Clicker genre.
-Game is really just a time-waster.
-Game model does have some potential in making a great game, but this isn't a winner.
-Game levels are more of the same making it eventually boring, a chore to get through.
+Out of the first 2 games, this one is the better one of the series.
-Would not recommend as there are so many amazing games made in the last 30 years where your time & money are better spent.
-2/5 stars.

Genre:
Point & Click Indie Puzzler.

Gameplay:
+ You have a party of 5 strange creatures to guide through an even stranger - yet intriguing world, by point & click puzzles that are original, with stunningly beautiful artwork and charm! Save their world from the evil Botan-vampire (Botanicula) sucking the life-force from life in order to grow its own kind.
+ Beautiful, quirky and strangely attractive music soundtrack & sound effects.
+ Characters and atmosphere have charm.
+ Each party member has it's own puzzle solving ability.
+ A streak of humor runs through the gameplay from start to finish.
+ Built-in save feature.
+ No perma-death, no lives.
+ Basic tutorial, keeping things intriguing that encourages experimentation.
+ No keyboard needed, only mouse.
+ Play-time to completion is about 2 hours, a indie point & click puzzler fits that perfect time amount that your brain would want.
+ Memorable game for the rest of your life.
+ Playtime a solid 3 hours.

Difficulty:
+ Delightful game and that perfect amount of challenge from start to finish.
+ Puzzles are new, fresh, stylistic, easy-to-comfortable challenge, rewarding.
+ Not for the hardcore puzzle gamer, but they'll still want to do a play-through as the game is worth the exp.

Replayablity:
+ 2/5 Rarely
- Once completed, you feel rewarded & content. One of those games that you'll want to play again in a few years to relive the exp.

Graphics & Artwork:
+ High quality indie digital artwork for its 2011 time that will always hold up due to its originality & strangeness.
+ Has a art & bizarre feel to it like the fabulous 1973 animated science fiction film 'Fantastic Planet', but made more towards the innocence of the inner-child.
+ Every section of the game has an original setting and creatures to keep you feeling refreshed & entertained.

Overall Rating:
⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5 Stars) Great Game!!
+ Game is a digital piece of art and a indie masterpiece.
+ Worth $3-$5, and is contently on 75% off sale throughout the year.
+ Leaves you wanting more from the developer!
+ Must-have game for your library!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ THE SECRET SCAM ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Purchased the Complete Edition for over $40, then they fu<k-over there supporters by making it f2p, and charge for the new DLC's so they can double dip it's customers and on top of that charge outrageous prices for them!!!

This company doesnt deserve a single new penny of revenue!!!
Boycotting the dev company, publisher company and every company their staff forms in the future as a result.

Genre:
+ Board & Card.

Gameplay:
+ Objective: Command & conquer states to occupy entire map.
+ Place allocated units on your states strategically and attempt to beat the opponent's occupied state by outnumbering them in units and out-rolling them in higher dice rolls.
+ This version allows up to 6 players at once.
- NO ONLINE MULTIPLAYER, Single player designed, single computer Hotseat multiplayer available, no campaign, no Steam leaderboards.
- AI cheats, unrealistic rolls (ex. 15 units vs 2 units lost skirmish).
- This version's rules allow for cross multiple states during the fortify phase which is not an official rule, thus allows for cheating.
- Game allows user skirmish re-rolling to get a higher dice roll, which is also cheating.
- Software seems & feels early year 2000's outdated, and basic design for the digital version of Risk, no game-modes.
- Music is non-inspiring and single-looped, bland sound effects.
- Menu is basic for options, and cheap looking.
- Cards are extremely bland & blank showing only an image, very ugly to the eye.
+/- Fast gameplay.
- No save feature.

Difficulty:
- AI tough on 'expert' level, teams work with each other in order to defeat you faster.

Replayablity:
- 2/5 Rarely

Graphics & Artwork:
- Old outdated software design.
- Unit models, board and cards are ugly.
- Modern operating systems surpassed outdated video drivers, game window is square in the middle of your monitor showing off your desktop on the sides.

Overall Rating:
⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5 Stars) Terrible
- Poor disappointing experience, little effort in attempting to make the best game possible for the classic boardgame.
- Not worth your money, pass.
+ Alternatively, there is another version of Risk on Steam that's fabulous and also includes a classic board mode:

Genre:
Indie Strategic Turn-based sidescrolling RPG dungeon crawler.

Gameplay:
+ Pick party adventurers of your choice to embark on an adventure for treasures, skill upgrades, and loot, fighting evil monsters along the way to upgrade your party & gothic town.
+ RNG element involved, keeping playthroughs interesting & exciting.
+ Game starts off simple & easy to understand, but in order to win takes creative game theory as you have a hundred of party build options within options + different style of dungeons requiring different party builds to take advantage of monster weakness' + different monsters not only in different dungeons, but also more complex monsters as you progress higher levels into the game.
+ Mouse hovering statistics the entire game is essential (and part of the fun).
+ Fun original storyline that unlocks as you go along supported by fantastic voice acting.
- Good quality music but single-looped, which becomes repetitive over time.
+ Great sound effects.
+ Heavy stat based all over the game and yet a delightful toggle challenge for statistic lovers due to it's pleasant clean simple game design.
+ Gameplay is statistical reading & countering.
+ Town building & upgrading control, makes the backdrop as your party's camp.
+ Music, party, town control & upgrading as well as 'resource' gathering is definitely inspired from the masterpiece game 'Heroes of Might & Magic III' (1999), and stat & ability features are reminiscent of the game 'Bard's Tale' (1985 & 2003).
+ Micromanaging based fun, yet extremely dependent on strategy, knowledge required from several trial & error attempts are required in order for late-game survival.
+ Well designed & simplistic navigation for all the menus.
+ Lots of monster types with their own individual sounds.
- Game has a lot of RGN in it, but starting a new game over repeats the same dungeons & layouts, making it a boring task to get back to mid-game.
+ / - No manual save, game autosaves after every turn, permadeath is a factor, includes option for saving multiple playthroughs at one time.
+ Simple easy play-as-you-go tutorial popups.
- Options Menu always asked if you are sure to make new changes, which slows the user down by unnecessary extra clicks.
+ Has that "just one more turn" quality.
+ No keyboard needed, only mouse.
+ The game is really slow because it forces you to be. One mistake can devistate your party thus downward spiral your entire playthru. The save system is aggressively auto-save where you are not able to cheat the playthrough of a reload. And the game is extreemly challenging, knowing that, it forces to player to check everything before going out on a dungeon exploring, and because of this, the game is very slow if you want to win. A family man's lifestyle only doing one dungeon a day would be concidered normal with how much time prepping your town & party takes - and i guess that's part of the fun.
- At the time of writing, Game freezes if Steam Overlay is selected in Steam Settings, no Streaming via Steam possible.
* (to date have not tested controller support response)
+ This webpage will tell you what item to put into certain curios for big bonuses to help u snowball:
http://darkestdungeon.gamepedia.com/Curio

Difficulty:
+ / - Legendary known for it's brutally unforgiving mid-game difficulty.
+ / - Playthrough on 'Radiant' (Easy Mode) is fairly balanced but still a tough challenge as all the negative buffs picked up over time start to compound smothering your party until death.
+ Playthrough on 'Darkest' (Normal Mode) was slightly easier having progressed much further.

Replayablity:
+ 3/5 Occasionally
+ Everytime you play the game, you'll figure out something new, and you got that knowledge for life allowing you to get just a lil bit better, motivating you to do another run. You might lose the wind out of your sails after your awesome party fails to reach the final boss, and step away from the game for a few months, but it's so good that you'll eventually come back to it to do another run - more knowlegable, more confident, more winning, more fun. Tbh, i can see myself coming back to the game over & over again after taking breaks for the rest of my life.
It really is a great game!

Graphics & Artwork:
+ Wonderful looking indie comic-book style artwork, keeping the game clean & simple.
+ Flashplayer-like design that's simplicity works in it's favor.
+ Looks great on big screens.
+ Protip: Go into 'Options' and max-out 'Gamma', makes game look bright, crisp and even more beautiful with glimmering partical effects.

Overall Rating:
⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5 Stars) Great Game!!
+ Game is a indie homerun winner altho consistent stat comparing decision making is crucial.
+ After the navigational & gameplay learning hump, it becomes a fun addicting challange.
+ Would love to see a sequel done with a space theme on multiple planets with alien monsters.
+ Worth $25, so a purchase during a 50% off sale is a really fair price.
+ Must-have game for your library!
