As someone who had a personal distaste for FPS games at the time this was written, I have avoided a lot of titles that many others have enjoyed. I can probably attribute it to my personal dislike for the various themes commonly associated with these games (guns, war, violence etc.) or the obnoxiously immature testosterone driven community that plagued a lot of the games in the genre. Yet despite all that, Bioshock Infinite was still able to grab my attention and have me play it to completion all the while letting me enjoy my every moment of playing it.

It all started when I came across a YouTube video of an interview with the developers talking about one of the pivotal characters in this game's story: Elizabeth. The video talked about Elizabeth as having this revolutionary AI; having her do things on her own and such. This particular video managed to capture my curiosity. After some research and some reviews about what I'm getting myself into, I ended up sitting in front of my computer with a recently downloaded game that is Bioshock Infinite. I was sort of aware of what I might experience but little did I know of just how profound it was going to be.

I ended up playing and finishing the game within two long sessions split between two days and never for a moment, during those sessions did I feel disengaged or uninterested. I was hooked and for at least the remainder of that week, a majority of my time was spent on reading and contemplating on the story, the ending, the theories of what happened, explanations and secrets and I remember having my mind being blown away. Bioshock Infinite was an incredibly mature game with an extremely intriguing, engaging and interesting narrative to tell. One that in my opinion is something that every gamer should at least experience.
