What makes speedrunning interesting?

Competition - tackling a challenge is always satisfying. Aim to beat your own personal best times, set daily records, or out-sprint the fastest times ever. Monaco's built-in leaderboards make it easy to compare your mission times to those of your friends.
Innovation - struggling to beat a leaderboard time? Chances are, you need a completely new route! Go back to the drawing board and plan your new assault. The Mole is especially good at 'creating opportunities'...
Teamwork - when playing co-op, timing and teamwork are essential. Every thief needs to extract the maximum from their character's abilities to reach coins and support their teammates. Nothing feels better than wild looting amidst orchestrated chaos!
Improvisation - random coins and guards force you to think on your feet. It's not enough to focus on your own corner of the map - watch your teammates and rewrite the script when necessary.

Who can join this speedrunning group?

Anyone who is interested. You certainly don't need to be an expert player (though decent knowledge of the basic game characters/items/mechanics and stock maps is helpful). Connect with fellow speedrunners and begin participating in scheduled events now.

How can I become a faster speedrunner?

Read the Speedrunning Guide (coming soon...?)
Watch speedrun videos in the group discussions forum (and critique - which parts of the route could be improved? Try them!)
Study the Enhanced and Classic campaign mission blueprints.
Play lots with other speedrunners! Check the Monaco Speedruns Events page for opportunities.
